Welcome to Saint Mary’s

Welcome to the 2010-2011 St. Mary School website. I hope you will spend and enjoy your time perusing the many programs, activities, and celebrations of all of our almost 200 students, teachers, parents and community volunteers. We are indeed a proud school family with a strong legacy of over 100 years of spiritual and academic growth, support and enrichment to the families of Bordentown and surrounding areas of Mercer and Burlington Counties.

We offer a deep commitment to providing a 21st Century, world-class education, and providing the necessary nurturing and emotional support for all of our pre-K through 8th grade students and their families. Our identified priorities for the 2010-2011 will be providing a rigorous academic program in Religious Studies, Literacy, Mathematics (including Advanced Math), Science, and Social Studies. Expressive Arts subjects such as Computer Science, Spanish, Art and Music, Physical and Health Education, and Library Science are proudly offered to thoroughly prepare our students for the High Schools of their choice.

High Expectations for student and staff performance and achievement to National and State Standards is readily evident in all of our classrooms. Service and Project-based learning activities on the part of our energetic and giving students are particular points of pride!

Enjoy your time on our site . . . .

Our Philosophy . .

As a Catholic School in the Diocese of Trenton, St. Mary’s is committed to the development of each individual student in a Christ centered environment.  Together with our families, we share the awesome responsibility for the total education of the student.  Our school is strongly committed to academic excellence.  By emphasizing excellence we hope to encourage all students to reach their God given potential.
Our faith calls us to be responsible Christians in a complicated world.  We have a mission to help our students see the value of justice, peace, and service as is so clearly set forth in the Gospel message.

St. Mary School is part of a faith filled parish community.  Through participation in parish life we encourage our students to see themselves as members of God’s family.  St. Mary School believes that every child can make a difference and calls its students to actively participate in their church, school, and community.

Our Mission . .

The mission of St. Mary Catholic School is to encourage students to do their best, respect all people and to put their faith into action through a challenging academic curriculum and spiritual formation.
